words were never so useful

button up shirt: thrifted | circle skirt: kmart | shoes: wittner

Cool shirt huh? I love love love it. Strangely enough when I first saw it I immediately thought of my good friend Rory. It just looked like something he would wear. And so I sent him a picture. His reply? "OH MY GOD THATS SICK WHERE DID YOU GET IT I WANT IT!!!" Jeez I know my friends too well.

Speaking of Rory, he recently turned 18, just last week in fact, and to celebrate he threw a 'Mexican Fiesta'. Tacos, sombreros, ponchos, and last but not least, tequila. And on top of that he had pin the tail on the donkey. And a pinata. It sure was one hell of a party. Anyway I best be off, I have tafe tomorrow which I'm actually kind of excited for. I usually hate Thursdays with a passion, seeing as how we have two 3-hour classes/lectures in a row. But I have to say I'm extremely pumped for the upcoming assignments. You'll hear more about them soon, especially what's going on in my studio class. Adios amigos!

Why oh why don't pastels suit me??

Sorry just a quick post today, I promise I'll be back soon to update you guys on well, life in general. For now it's time for me to turn in, hit the hay, get some z's, and retire for the day! (Unintentional rhyming ftw)

brick by brick

bowler hat: indy c | backpack: jas mb | denim vest: topshop | leather dress: thakoon | tights: wolford | shoes: doc martens

I can't sleep.

I always seem to have this trouble at night, just laying in bed for hours thinking about school, relationships, the future, life in general I guess. I fall asleep hours after I've actually hopped into bed, and I can't help but feel as though I'm wasting precious time. Time that I could be working on assignments, doing some sketches, meeting up with friends, or even catching up with all my favourite tv shows. There never seems to be enough time for anything these days, but I went over this already in a previous post.

Anyway, hope you like this set I made on polyvore. It's a pretty sweet outfit if I do say so myself, if only I could wear to tafe tomorrow.... Unfortunately I don't own items as cool as these.

nothing on the television, just the dust on the screen

holographic glasses: ebay | jumper: borrowed from my brother | dress (underneath): kmart | bag: thrifted | creepers: ebay

I've fallen in love with this oversized jumper I found sitting in my brother's room the other day. It's so warm. And I love the colour. Plus it's a great length. I wore a little black dress underneath just in case though lol.

On another note, I'm having a financial crisis. And I've only just turned 18! I'm stopping myself from going out too often, and trying to stop myself from buying too many clothes. Note how the word 'trying' is in bold. See I blame tafe, and the fact of having to wear my own clothes to lectures. At first I loved it. But then I started hating it. I simply got to the point where I had nothing left to wear, and it was killing me. I can't believe I had forgotten my old trick of borrowing clothes.... So now I love it again.

i trapped him under a cardboard box and stood on it

This is my definition of a great day. Sitting outside surrounded by my pens, pencils, and paints. Bailey sitting on my right, and music blasting from my phone. On days like these I sit there for hours filling up my sketch books, just because I can. Unfortunately these photos were taken a while back, and I haven't had a day like this in so long. It'd be nice if I could freeze time and just enjoy life as it is, but I have a feeling that won't be able to happen until my next holiday break. Why is life so hard...

i saw your face and you blew my mind

As of yesterday, Perth Fashion Week is officially over. It's quite sad really, I was starting to get used to waking up at 5 in the morning and hopping on a train before the sun was even up. It was an amazing experience though. I met so many people involved in the industry: show producers, backstage directors, assistants, models, even designers! There was one designer called Furne Amato, who was simply incredible. I'll have to make a separate post just for him, there were way to many photos of his collection. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this! Half of these pictures don't do the dresses justice, but if you want to see more just head over to www.perthfashionweek.com.au to see videos of the shows I worked on! Some of them will really leave you speechless.
